Meet the Instructor
Hi, I'm Lau Marial, a voice teacher and music educator passionate about helping students discover confidence through singing.
I earned my degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado Boulder and am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Human Development and Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education. My experiences as a classroom teacher, choir director, and private voice instructor have allowed me to work with students of all ages and abilities.
I believe that every voice is unique and deserves to be nurtured in a supportive and encouraging environment. My lessons focus on developing healthy vocal technique, musical expression, performance skills, and confidence. Whether you're preparing for an audition, performing in a choir, or simply looking to grow as a singer, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and interests.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy performing, researching educational practices, and finding ways to make music learning more accessible and meaningful for all students.
I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals and discover the full potential of your voice.

My passion for music education comes from my own experiences growing up and witnessing the impact that music can have on confidence, belonging, and personal development. Music education provided me with opportunities to grow as a musician, leader, and individual, and I have seen firsthand how access to quality instruction can change the trajectory of a student's life.
Through individualized instruction, evidence-based teaching practices, and a commitment to student-centered learning, Marial Voice Academy seeks to make music education both accessible and transformative. Our goal is not only to develop strong singers, but to help students build confidence, resilience, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

1:1 Private virtual voice instruction with vocal music educator Lau Marial for 45 minutes ONCE A WEEK!
SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER — fall semester — WEEKLY LESSON
During the lesson, students will be warmed up by the instructor for 15 minutes. In this time students will be learning proper vocal technique to support them in their singing, and also strengthening their music theory skills with Lau’s support!
Following the warmup session, students will then rehearse and practice their repertoire for the remaining 30 minutes of the lesson. Singers will receive professional vocal coaching on songs of their choice by an experienced vocal educator.
